Seamless Tech Tools: Our local amigos come prepared with real-time translation tools. You speak into the app, it speaks back in Spanish, and vice versa—making real-time orientation effortless, fast, and surprisingly fun!
Action Over Speeches: You don’t need perfect English to show someone where to get a secure SIM card, how to point out safe ride-share pickup spots, or which streets to avoid. Our orientation is visual, hands-on, and practical.
Learn Like a Local: Your local amigo will teach you 3 or 4 essential local slang phrases (and hand gestures!) on day one so you can navigate restaurants, buses, and shops like a seasoned traveler for the rest of your trip.
Prefer a fluent speaker? No problem! When browsing our local amigos, you can easily view each host’s spoken languages on their profile card and select someone who matches your language preference.

My story began in El Salvador, where I was born, and moved to Canada at age nine. Growing up I learned English, French, and Spanish—and later earning my diploma in Business Management—moving across cultures and connecting with people became second nature to me. Meeting people from all walks of life isn’t just my passion; it is my life story.

It is a practical 2-hour neighborhood orientation, not a historical tour. Your Amigo Local helps you with safety tips, local transport, SIM cards, money exchange, food recommendations, and getting oriented.

Every Local Amigo submits a clean criminal background check. Walks start in public meeting points, and both you and the Local Amigo can cancel up to 24 hours prior to the walk if you feel uncomfortable.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your walk to receive a full refund of your booking fee (minus standard third-party processing or currency exchange fees).
